We are seeking a broadcast journalist to oversee the multi-platform output of a That’s TV service. The role will include developing schedules, managing staff and interns, coordinating production, directing live shows from the gallery, editing content and liaising with sales to ensure advertising is aired. The successful applicant will have overall responsibility for all local station output including all obligations to Ofcom and third party contractors.
Could you be the new face of That’s TV? We are seeking multi-skilled presenters for live programming, phone-ins and location reporting and to input to the preparation and production of programming.
That’s TV is seeking versatile news and talk presenters for its magazine programming. That’s TV is also seeking presenters for its specialist lifestyle, consumer, health, talk, music, sport, current affairs, entertainment and ethnic programming in Manchester.
There will be opportunities to work across all areas of production on local and networked That’s TV programming. You will have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
You will also be involved in the programme preparation – assisting with research, script writing, forward planning and coordinating guests and features. Basic camera and editing experience preferred but not essential.
That’s TV is seeking a News Editor to oversee and direct the work of a local station news team; set and drive the editorial agenda and have editorial control over news output.
You will be responsible for producing the daily local news on a That’s TV service, identifying stories, controlling the output and maintaining standards. You will also frequently report on and produce your own stories. You will have sound editorial judgement, excellent storytelling skills and lead with confidence.
You will produce daily news and features reporting and presenting material for pre-recorded packages and live programming. You will be driven by the desire to identify, set up and report original stories. Ability to self-shoot and edit video footage to deadlines is essential.
You’ll develop a wide range of contacts and act as a reporter and interviewer in the studio and on location; researching, gathering footage and producing reports and scripts for That’s TV’s live rolling news service.
There will also be opportunities to broaden your experience by producing your own specialist talk shows and features, managing a production team and directing the live production gallery on some programmes. Special interest in crime, politics, investigative, consumer and/or sports reporting preferred.
You will be producing daily news content for That’s TV and providing feeds of news footage to third party partners including the BBC.
Camera Operator and Video Editor
Can you self-shoot and edit video to exacting deadlines? That’s TV is seeking multi-skilled video producers to assist its production teams in creating pre-recorded packages and live reports for its magazine programming. An interest in the world around you is essential.
Forward Planner/Newsroom Organiser
This is a crucial role managing the forward planning diary and coordinating the news team to ensure that stories are covered when they happen.
You will need to make good contacts, set up shoots, book guests and write scripts. You will be highly-organised with a thirst for news and passion for identifying controversial, fun and exciting original stories which get viewers talking.
To be considered for this role you will need to have local knowledge, a strong news sense, be self motivated and the ability to work as part of a team.
That’s TV is seeking Technical Directors to mix the live programming on That’s TV services. You will be responsible for managing a team which sets up and manages the technical output of the service.
You will work with the editorial team to deliver high standard broadcasts with overall responsibility for all multi-camera studio operations, maintaining audio, lights, sound, graphics, OBs and video playback in live and pre-recorded programmes.
The Technical Director is the senior technical role in gallery, responsible for directing and vision mixing programmes. You will have experience of live and recorded studio directing and vision mixing gained in a broadcast gallery environment.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of a live programme so ability to work under pressure is essential. You will also support other technical operations including video editing and scheduling.
Motion Graphics Producer
You will be working to deliver station graphics, edit content and deliver programming across the That’s TV group of stations. Technical experience in a broadcasting environment desirable.
Are you the person to set up a brand new television service commercial operation? We are looking for Sales Directors to manage the sales at local That’s TV services. You will be responsible for developing your own client portfolio as well as training and managing That’s TV’s local sales team. You will be ambitious with proven sales experience and a strong management and influencing skill set.
Sales Executives and Account Managers
We are seeking Account Managers to represent That’s TV to the business community, selling innovative advertising and sponsorship packages to local businesses of all sizes. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of That’s TV’s relationship with clients, from taking orders through to clearance of advertising copy. You must be highly organised, motivated by the desire to hit targets and committed to providing outstanding levels of customer service.
